Multi-dimensional recording (MDR) technique aims simultaneous recording of all of measurable biological and environmental parameters including brain activity, eye position, respiration, heart rate, muscle activity, motion data, environmental visual and auditory information and etc. MDR is applied to monkeys and allows higher degree of freedom in experimental design.
Brain activity: Brain activity is recorded by ECoG array implanted either in epi-dural or sub-dural space. ECoG array can cover entire cortical surface. It can cover not only lateral surface, but also medial and ventral surface.
